The "Monte Argentu" wind farm project (Nurri), consisting of 6 200-metre-high wind turbines, which were to be built north of Lake Mulargia, has been halted .
The PNRR-PNIEC Technical Commission of Mase expressed a negative opinion regarding the environmental compatibility of the project .
The obstructive observations of the Sarcidano Territorial Defence Committee regarding the lack of a Health Impact Assessment and the lack of exhaustiveness of the specialist studies (anemological, acoustic impact, and range) were thus acknowledged.
"We are satisfied that our careful vigilance has prevented this devastation in the heart of the region," said spokesman Luigi Pisci. "We are committed to continuing to fight energy speculation, in the name of a true democratic transition compatible with Sardinia and its needs."
