The mayors of Marmilla took to the streets yesterday, armed with brush cutters and blowers, in an unusual protest action to denounce the neglect of provincial roads .

At the crossroads between Turri, Tuili and Setzu, ten were present: the mayors Sandro Branca (Genuri), Emilio Serra (Gesturi), Andrea Lampis (Las Plassas), Italo Carrucciu (Lunamatrona), Sandro Palla (Setzu), Martino Picchedda ( Turri), Andrea Locci (Tuili and president of the Union of Marmilla Municipalities), Gian Luca Atzeni (Villamar), Matteo Castangia (Villanovafranca) and the councilor Cristiano Tuveri (Collinas) .

Together they mowed the weeds, now as tall as the vertical road signs, and cleaned the road bumps. They are clamoring for the province of Southern Sardinia to intervene to restore road safety for the many users who travel on those roads.
