The Mediterranean Festival, curated by Ugo Spanu, offers another evening of classical music. Tuesday, August 25th, at the Cloister of San Francesco (Alghero), the trio features Alberto Marano on violin, Raffaele Rigliari on cello , and Claudio Sanna on piano.

The concert will open with Ludwig van Beethoven's Trio in D major, Op. 70, No. 1, "Ghosts," one of the most famous pieces in this ensemble's repertoire. This will be followed by Riccardo Collu's Nachtgesang , a world premiere, while the evening will conclude with Gabriel Fauré's Trio in D minor, Op. 120 .

Violinist Alberto Marano, who graduated with honors from the Naples Conservatory and is currently a student of Silvia Marcovici, is an award-winning soloist active in renowned chamber music and orchestral groups.

Raffaele Rigliari is an award-winning cellist, who graduated from the Benevento Conservatory and completed his studies at the Accademia di Santa Cecilia. He has collaborated with prestigious orchestras, including the Teatro di San Carlo and the Petruzzelli, and combines his concert activity with teaching.

Claudio Sanna is an eclectic chamber pianist and composer, who graduated from the “Canepa” Conservatory of Sassari, perfected his studies at the Pinerolo Academy of Music and the Accademia di Santa Cecilia, and is known for his collaborations with leading orchestras worldwide (including the Berlin Philharmonic and La Scala).

Active in contemporary music and founder of the Trio Praxodia, he boasts an intense recording activity and performances in prestigious international venues.
