The heavy rains of the last few days are creating a spectacular spectacle in the Erula area, in Anglona: the Chirralza waterfall.
It is fed by the Rio Filighesos. The waterfall drops approximately seven meters. At its end, the water rushes through a wild landscape, crossing a canyon characterized by the presence of primary holm oaks (never cut down) and wildlife such as the marsh harrier, purple swamphen, gray heron, and great egret.
The waterfall is located downstream from the provincial road that leads from Erula to the SS 672. It is not signposted. The route is of medium difficulty. It is recommended to consult local guides.
The Chirralza waterfall will be given a prominent spot on Sardegna Verde, airing Sunday at 1:30 pm on Videolina. Filmed by Renzo Gualà.
