The long-awaited Azores High returns, and temperatures above 35 degrees are expected in Sardinia in the next few days .
Two more days of unstable weather, explains Lorenzo Tedici of iLMeteo.it, with rain and thunderstorms, especially in the Northeast. Then the clouds will begin to thin out, leaving room for clear skies across Italy.
Starting Sunday, the sharp rise in atmospheric pressure will ensure a period of stability that will last at least ten to fifteen days , especially in the central and southern regions. Maximum temperatures, initially moderate and pleasant, will gradually rise.
As early as Monday, thermometers will hit 33°C again in Central Italy, reaching up to 35°C in Sardinia . The first real heat spike, which will be physiologically less bearable, will be recorded from the middle of next week: for Wednesday, June 10, temperatures of 36°C are expected across Sardinia and Sicily, in addition to sultry peaks of 32°C in Rome .
In the North, temperatures will be milder, around 27-28 degrees, and there could even be some occasional showers.
But the real summer is now just around the corner, especially in Sardinia and central and southern Italy , which will experience a long, warm, sunny period for at least 10-15 days.
