The Council of Ministers contested the Sardinian Finance Law approved on February 1st by the Regional Council.

At the moment the news is reported in a meager press release issued by Palazzo Chigi at the end of the executive session chaired by Giorgia Meloni.

We read that on the initiative of the Minister of Regional Affairs, the Northern League member Roberto Calderoli, the government contests « the law of the Region of Sardinia number 1 of 21/02/2023, "Stability Law 2023" as certain provisions, placing themselves in contrast with the state legislation on the subject of coordination of public finance, violate article 117, third paragraph, of the Constitution".

A generic and ritual formulation, for now. To get the details of the disputed regulatory passages, it is necessary to wait for further official communications.
