The flamingos make love in three: the curious shot from Molentargius

Three flamingos making love.
The curious shot comes from Quartu, precisely from the oasis of Molentargius.
The “multiple” coupling was immortalized by a reader, Sergio Fermi.
Spring is the breeding season for flamingos, which in this period also launch themselves in courtship flights and parades, giving life to a real "nuptial" ritual.
Once the specimens have mated, the female lays the eggs which hatch after 28 days, giving birth to white-feathered chicks.
The chicks will then be fed on the milk of both parent birds for 2 months, until the chick has fully developed its beak to feed on its own. At that point the plumage will begin to take on the unmistakable pink colour.
