The Brin Pier will welcome the first yachts starting Sunday: the announcement comes from D-Marin, which recently acquired the Olbia Marina and the new maxi-yacht dock currently under construction in the heart of the city. The facility will offer 20 berths for yachts from 40 to 150 meters in length with a maximum draft of 6.5 meters, and four additional berths for tenders up to 15 meters.

The opening, according to a statement, represents the first step in a broader redevelopment project that will transform a waterfront area into a modern destination for yachting and hospitality. The project's completion, scheduled for June 2027, will further consolidate Olbia's role as the gateway to northern Sardinia and the Mediterranean.

The summer opening was made possible thanks to the rapid completion and testing of the offshore works. The Municipality of Olbia, the Sardinian Sea Port Authority, and the Olbia Port Authority worked closely with the company to enable the facility's operational start-up this year.

During the initial operational phase, starting August 2nd, Molo Brin will offer essential services including docking and undocking assistance, security, surveillance, and parking. During this phase, access will be restricted to yacht owners and crews. Once completed, the project will be operational by June 2027 and will include D-Marin offices, new reception and reception areas, as well as dedicated catering spaces.

D-Marin operates 28 marinas in nine countries, including Italy, Greece, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and several Mediterranean destinations. The company offers over 14,000 berths and welcomes more than 50,000 clients annually, with a particular focus on the superyacht sector, a segment where Gallura is the primary destination and which also drives the shipbuilding and nautical services sectors.
