The proceedings have opened in Tempio Pausania before preliminary hearing judge Federica Di Stefano for the murder of Cinzia Pinna, which occurred on September 12 last year on the Conca Entosa estate, in the Palau countryside.
As the first step in the proceedings against Arzachena businessman Emanuele Ragnedda, the victim's family, represented by lawyers Antonella and Nino Cuccureddu, is filing a civil action. Relatives of Cinzia Pinna, 33, from Castelsardo, are present at the Tempio courthouse. Luca Franciosi, the young man alleged to have been the victim of a slander against Emanuele Ragnedda, will also be a civil party in the proceedings. According to prosecutor Noemi Mancini, the confessed businessman blamed Franciosi for hiding Cinzia Pinna's body , knowing him to be innocent, according to the charges. Before the hearing , Francesco Furnari, lawyer for Ragnedda's ex-partner, Rosa Maria Elvo, previously investigated for aiding and abetting and who is completely unrelated to the matter, made a statement.
In the hours immediately preceding the hearing, Ragnedda's defense attorneys, criminal lawyers Luca Montella and Gabriele Satta, submitted a new report from ballistics expert Dario Redaelli and medical examiner Enrico d'Aloia, a university professor.
