The extreme low tide distorts the Pelosa landscape
The scenery is impressive. The author of the photos: "Those who have to think about erosion come now, when tourists have nothing to do with it"Per restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
It is a low tide that shows off a coast of Stintino with a truly unusual panorama, the one documented by the photos of the nautical operator Piero Ajello. He knows that coast well. And he is amazed.
«A large part of the visible coast is in fact the seabed, left uncovered by the exceptionally low tide of these days which has left some boats dry even in the port of Stintino».
At La Pelosa this phenomenon led to a re-emergence of the beach towards the Tower, «while at the beginning of the beach towards the old kiosk only an expanse of sandless rocks remains dry: once the real beach was right there and covered those rocks for tens and tens of meters.
According to Ajello " in recent years whoever has pontificated (always in the middle of summer) with great certainty on the causes of the Pelosa erosion should be there to evaluate , now in the middle of winter, these particular conditions which are certainly not determined by the attendance of bathers" .
The author of the photos underlines: "I am not surprised by the fact that the many Soloni of August 15th are not interested, this season, in the sudden changes in the shape and size of the beach and the former beach, much more significant now than in full summer, when suddenly the spotlights of the so-called "experts" come on. In fact , when nature intervenes and there are no tourists to blame, nobody cares about the matter».
