A fire started in an Enel cabin in via D'Annunzio in Carbonia today at dawn forced the firefighters to carry out an intervention that lasted for a couple of hours.

The inconvenience, perhaps caused by a breakdown because at the moment it seems to be excluded the malicious origin (except for further investigations), has sent the public lighting of numerous streets of the city into a tailspin . In practice, pitch black in at least a dozen streets.

Enel teams also intervened on the spot and will try to reactivate the service at least for this evening. The alarm was raised by some motorists who noticed smoke coming out of the cabin just before 5am. And consequently the street lamps of the public lighting of all the adjacent streets and of a large part of the central-northern sector of the city have remained off . Based on a first indication, the voluntary gesture could be excluded.

However, the repair operation may not be so easy although the technicians of the electrical company will try in every way to restore the activity before tonight.
