The demolition work of the Serbariu police station is underway

This morning the demolition work of the former director's barracks of the Serbariu carabinieri began. Built in the mid-nineteenth century, in a state of neglect for decades, it will be replaced with a modern building that will house the oratory of the church of San Narciso. Some onlookers gathered to look at the demolition of the last remaining symbol of the municipality of Serbariu established in 1853 and suppressed in 1937 to make room for the new municipality of Carbonia.
After the Montegranatico, the church, the town hall, the community of Serbariu thus lost forever its last historical building of identity.
