Promoting the suburbs through culture, sports, and urban regeneration. This is the goal of the visit to Cagliari by Alessandro Battilocchio, president of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry on the Suburbs, and Stefania Mancini, president of the Charlemagne Foundation.
The initiative, in anticipation of National Day of Urban Suburbs on June 24, involved the Pirri and Sant'Elia neighborhoods.
The visit began at the Exmé center with a meeting with TiAbbraccio volunteers and staff and a stroll along Via Sanna. The delegation then moved to Sant'Elia to meet with the parish priest, Father Saverio Fabiano, and learn about the neighborhood and the activities of the parish and oratory dedicated to young people.
Cagliari is the first stop on the tour of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry on the Suburbs, which aims to find solutions, ideas, and funding to improve living conditions in areas far from the city center.
