The brass of Sassari gather for the Faradda dei Candelieri

Let the trumpets ring, but also the trombones, tubas and horns. The call is for a reunion open to all the instrumentalists of the Sassari area who have played in the brass of Sassari. The occasion is the Faradda dei Candelieri, on 14 August.
From 10 in the morning the brass instruments will meet in Piazza Nazario Sauro for a performance that will accompany the Discesa dei Ceri until the evening. Music for almost all tastes: from the Renaissance to Jazz, passing through soundtracks for Cinema, Opera and Symphony music.
The Ottos of Sassari born in 1981 from an idea of Maestro Antonio Garofalo. In formation from quartet to brass ensemble, they have carried out an intense and uninterrupted concert activity on behalf of the many musical associations of Sardinia, and a promotional work at the Scholastic Institutes of all levels.
This initiative of August 14th wants to be the way to create a recurrence within the recurrence, attracting brass instrumentalists coming not only from the island but from all over the world, who come together to honor the "Festha Manna".
