On Saturday, September 26, at 5 pm, on the occasion of the European Heritage Days, the Nolza archaeological site in Meana Sardo will host the presentation of “Maria Incantada and the House of Wine. Two Stories of Myth, Wine, and Nuraghi,” by Ornella Demuru and Franciscu Sedda , published by Domus de Janas Editore with the contribution of the Municipality of Meana Sardo.

Promoted by the Council of Europe and the European Commission, the European Heritage Days were created to bring communities closer to their cultural heritage and raise awareness of its value.

Not just monuments to be preserved, then, but living places, capable of narrating the identity of peoples and becoming part of a shared European memory. In this sense, Nolza's choice takes on a special significance: archaeological heritage once again becomes a space for encounter, storytelling, and participation.
Presenting the book to Nolza means taking him back to the places where his imagination was born. The great Meana nuraghe will not only be the setting for the meeting : Nolza is also a presence and character in the book, part of a narrative world where real places, archaeology, legends, and popular memory intertwine.
The two stories lead the reader to a Sardinia where the past continues to speak: through the stones of the nuraghi, the stories passed down, the wine, the life of the communities, and figures suspended between myth and memory.
The book will be presented by authors Ornella Demuru and Franciscu Sedda. The meeting will conclude with a guided tour of the Nuraghe Nolza: from the stories told in the pages to the stones that helped inspire those stories.
The Nolza archaeological site, owned by the Municipality of Meana Sardo, is managed by the Ortuabis Cooperative, which will conclude the evening with a tasting of typical local products, completing the journey through the history and culture of Meana Sardo through the flavors of its land.
