The Aglientu Proloco: "We honored Pippo Baudo, a man of extraordinary humility."

The president of the Aglientu Proloco, Quinto Zizi, today remembered Pippo Baudo, who was awarded the Tazzina d'Oro (Golden Cup) in the Gallura town in 2009. Zizi said: "Baudo was someone close to our association, a man of extraordinary humility and human depth. His passing has affected us all.

In 2009, we decided to award him our prize, the Tazzina d'Oro. He was in Torre delle Stelle and agreed to travel to Aglientu, a four-hour drive, to collect the award.

He told us he'd put it in his cabinet, where he kept prestigious awards. The meeting with Baudo was a truly remarkable one; he was a great friend of Sardinia."
