A serious accident occurred on the new State Road 125, at the tunnel exit in Su Reu, near Solanas: a van and a car collided head-on. Five people were injured, all in critical condition.
Air ambulance also responded to the scene. The vehicles caught fire after the crash, starting a fire on the hillside that required the intervention of four helicopters (one a SuperPuma) and a Canadair.
The Fire Brigade also responded massively, with three teams engaged in extinguishing operations.
