Exactly ten years ago Massimo Cenedese, 44 years old from Terralba, died of sepsis.

The legal proceedings now take a new step: the ruling of the Court of Cagliari that had condemned the Casa di cura Madonna del Rimedio of Oristano to compensate the wife, parents and siblings of the victim has become enforceable.

The story dates back to the end of January 2015 : Massimo Cenedese, a chemical analyst and employee of a dairy company in Arborea, had been admitted to the nursing home. During the operation to remove his gall bladder, something went wrong and his intestine was perforated. A wound that caused a very serious generalized infection. The 44-year-old was transferred to the Santissima Annunziata hospital in Sassari but unfortunately every attempt to save his life was in vain and on February 2, ten years ago, he died. At that point the investigation began.
