The explosion woke up the entire Terralba neighborhood overlooking the hamlet of Tanca Marchesa .

The explosion, around 8 a.m., destroyed a terraced house on Via Boccaccio . The owner , a 35-year-old, suffered serious burns and was airlifted to Sassari hospital.

On Via Boccaccio, which was obviously crowded with residents who had taken to the streets after the explosion, the firefighters arrived and, once the area was isolated, secured the house.

They are also assessing whether any structural damage occurred to nearby buildings.
