Strong internal tensions within the PSDAz have led to potential repercussions that could spill over to other branches of the Sardinian Action Party. Party president Antonio Moro has strongly criticized the failure to renew and the refusal to grant membership cards to Valter Usai and Franco Madeddu and his wife, longtime militants in Porto Torres. "In the matter of the failure to renew the membership cards of some Sardinian activists from the Porto Torres branch, the only fascist aspect is the methods used by those who arbitrarily decided not to proceed with the renewal." The commissioner of the Simon Mossa branch, Tore Fadda, had rejected Usai's membership renewal request in a letter, citing his publication of photos that allegedly praised the fascist salute and "statements that suggest a complete sympathy with the ideology of the national right, at times even more extreme."

The former party leader defends himself and declares himself ready to file a complaint. "I have never posted photos of this kind," he states. "I challenge anyone to show a picture from my Facebook profile that praises fascism." This procedure is contested by Antonio Moro himself. "If there are grounds for incompatibility with party membership—as stated in the statute and regulations—disciplinary proceedings can be initiated, in which the accused can defend himself before the Federal Guarantee Commission, which can then determine the appropriate sanction."

A war that began before the membership drive . "What is happening in the city branch is a symptom of the climate within the PSD'Az, where there are those who plan to use the membership drive for internal showdowns or to create a Sardinian party without Sardists," he explains. "Therefore, I will defend at every opportunity respect for the Statute, the rules, the honor of the Sardists, and even the dignity of the party in the face of these and other regulatory distortions that risk undermining democracy and the coexistence of the PSD'Az." In his harsh response, he also defended longtime activist Franco Madeddu. "I would also add that for what the Madeddu family has represented for decades in the history of the PSD'Az in Turritano, the Sardist Madeddu should be awarded a special membership card that testifies to the gratitude and affection of the glorious Sardinian Action Party."
