Exactly ten years after the cyclone Cleopatra, on 18 November 2013, the Oloè bridge on the provincial road 46 Oliena-Dorgali will reopen to traffic on 27 November , having collapsed under the fury of the water, swallowing up the police officer from the Nuoro police station Luca Tanzi, 44 years old.
«Now - announces the regional councilor for Public Works Pierluigi Saiu - we are returning a new infrastructure, crucial for the territory. The load tests of the new span, 40 meters long, have been carried out, now - he explains - we are awaiting the testing which will arrive before November 27th, the day on which the bridge will be reopened to traffic".

The Region made 5.6 million euros available for the work, the executive project was presented last January, shortly thereafter the construction site was opened with interventions that made it possible to improve the static and hydraulic functionality of the infrastructure.

In fact, the passage of water previously obstructed by the road embankment was doubled. The mayor of Oliena is half satisfied: «For us it is not a gift but compensation - explains Bastiano Congiu - For 10 years we have suffered an ordeal: our shepherds and our farmers used longer routes to go to the countryside with significant increases in costs and time".
