A truly special week for ten students from the Ianas Institute in Tortolì, who have just returned from Rome where they had the important opportunity to do a training internship at the Quirinale. Having left on November 11, accompanied by the teacher and project manager Fabrizio Murru , the boys and girls had the opportunity to work side by side with the staff of the Presidency of the Republic, each in their own area: in the dining room, reception and in the kitchens of the Quirinale under the guidance of the “presidents’ chef” for thirty years now, Pietro Catzola from Ogliastra.
They were able to meet President Sergio Mattarella with whom they spoke about Ogliastra, its peculiarities, cooked typical dishes such as culurgiones or sa fregula that they already knew thanks to chef Catzola. "A truly formative and unforgettable experience that leaves a deep mark on their and my professional and personal growth path", enthusiastically comments the teacher Murru, "a group of splendid and willing kids, who got busy respecting the strict protocols. They complimented us".

And in fact they have already been "engaged" for an upcoming event: the State lunch on June 2. This is just the latest of the many projects carried out by the institute led by director Nanni Usai, who also organized and financed this important training experience that involved ten students selected by a special commission based on merit. "A special thanks goes to chef Pietro Catzola and director Usai for having made us live this unforgettable experience," concludes Murru.
