Tempio celebrated the reopening of Spazio Faber, a symbolic space returned to the community after a major redevelopment project.

Yesterday afternoon's event was well attended, marking the return of a central space for the area's cultural, artistic, and touristic life. Mayor Gianni Addis emphasized the initiative's significance: "One of its iconic sites of great historical value has been returned to the city," emphasizing how the Spazio Faber now represents a focal point for the community. The renovation respected the original design of the square designed by Renzo Piano, maintaining the visual references to the pencils and colored sails and introducing new lighting.

Beyond its aesthetic appeal, the space retains a sense of identity: the basement features a giant photograph of the old market, accompanied by a narrative that highlights the local historical memory. The project is the result of a collaboration between institutions, organizations, and professionals, who have contributed to restoring a vibrant and functional space to the city.

The reopening of Spazio Faber thus represents a concrete sign of attention to the city's culture and identity, destined to once again become a hub for events and initiatives. The opening night featured a performance by Tempio-born singer Laura Pirrigheddu, fresh from her appearance on the Rai 1 program, The Voice Generation.
