The fourth edition of the Vittorio Inzaina Award kicks off tonight in Telti, an event created to commemorate the artistic figure of the town's native singer and to offer a showcase and new opportunities for the island's young talents. In the square in front of the Church of Santa Vittoria, music will take center stage: 37 singers will compete, divided into age categories. Among the new features of this fourth edition, directed by singer and teacher Claudia Aru, is a masterclass by Grazia Di Michele, scheduled for Saturday, August 22nd, from 4 to 6 pm, in the Telti City Council Chamber. A singer-songwriter, performer, and author, Di Michele will bring her experience and artistic sensibility to a meeting dedicated to music and education.
Among the guests at the event will be Moses Concas, a musician, harmonica virtuoso, and international performer, known to the general public for his victory on Italia's Got Talent and the recent success of the soundtrack to the film "La vita va così. " The "Isola In…Cantata" Award, presented to Sardinian personalities who have brought the island to international prominence, will also return. The award will be presented to Gianfranco Zola, a soccer star recently appointed as coordinator of the national team's youth activities.
The award will be presented on Sunday, August 23, from 4 to 6 p.m., in the Telti City Council Chamber, on behalf of the municipal administration and the Inzaina family, by City Councilor Gianmario Inzaina. Previous winners of the award have included Piero Marras, the Bertas, Paoluccio Masala, and tenor Francesco Demuro. The winners of the singing competition—organized by the City and Pro Loco of Telti, with the support of the Region of Sardinia, the patronage of RaiTre, and the collaboration of the Inzaina family—will receive a cash prize of €1,000, free registration for Claudia Aru's annual group training course, and a commemorative plaque.
