Carabinieri officers from the Monti station arrested a 41-year-old Romanian woman red-handed on charges of burglary.

The woman broke into the home of an elderly man in Telti late in the morning, taking advantage of a temporarily open front door. She stole €1,500 in cash from a piece of furniture.

The man, suspicious of the noise, noticed the woman's presence and managed to stop her in the courtyard with the help of some neighbors. Carabinieri officers from the Monti station arrived on the scene.

The woman did not resist and, after returning the money to the elderly man, was arrested and then released pending the validation hearing , by order of the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Tempio Pausania Court.
