Cittadinanzattiva, explains Tiziana Toto, head of consumer policy, believes it is essential to "reduce territorial inequalities by ensuring an efficient and accessible service throughout the country, with particular attention to Southern Italy; promote civic participation by leveraging local experiences and citizen observers as an integral part of the governance system; make pay-as-you-throw (TARIP) a structural measure, rewarding virtuous citizens and municipalities; and consolidate transparency through public reporting of costs and environmental results."
