She was the mayor's wife, raised three children, took care of the countryside and attended the parish. In short, this is the life of Lucia Murru, who turned 101 on Friday. Widowed in 1996 (her husband, Battista Muggianu, had been the mayor of Talana in the 1950s), the little old lady received visits from relatives and friends, and also received the good wishes of the mayor Christian Loddo.
In the house on Via Verdi, grandmother Lucia gave smiles and caresses to anyone who wanted to chat with her around the banquet set for the occasion. During her life she took care of the family, then as long as she could she went to work in the countryside and participated in religious functions in the parish.
Three children, two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren: together with them the grandmother from Talana celebrated her 101st birthday, confirming that Ogliastra is one of the areas in the world where people live the longest.
