The Councilor for Tourism, Claudia Giagoni, is on the move again , after the one a few days ago in Sorrento, for the G20 of seaside resorts, this time in Amalfi and with the mayor, Roberto Ragnedda, to represent the Municipality of Arzachena, for the village of Porto Cervo, and to make a pact with 6 other Italian destinations of excellence , such as Capri, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Courmayeur, Pinzolo-Madonna di Campiglio and Polignano a Mare. The event is called "Destinations and communities for more sustainable tourism" and is being hosted in the Campania town today, April 3 and tomorrow, April 4. Amalfi, the ancient maritime republic, has approximately less than 5 thousand inhabitants. The goal of the summit is to seek a balance between tourist flows and resident populations, sharing the best management models of tourist destinations and trying to identify new tools, including regulatory ones, necessary to develop actions aimed at good governance of the territories.

"Arzachena and Porto Cervo collaborate with other excellent tourist destinations to bring the attention of the Regions and the national Government to the potential of our territories, but also to the critical issues that unite us in the management of services and tourist flows", explains the mayor, Roberto Ragnedda. "Thanks to this partnership we will have an additional tool to invest in the promotion of the identity, cultural and natural heritage, as well as focus on strategies based on sustainable and harmonious development for the environment and the local community. It is important to work as a team with other mayors to ensure that the characteristics and image of the territorial excellence of the Bel Paese are enhanced in the international tourism market. The Amalfi Summit will be another great opportunity for discussion and growth for all participants".
