A supermarket in Sassari may have been hit by one of the cyber attacks that have recently targeted chains in several European countries and some Italian regions.

According to leaks, the store – located in the historic center – reportedly saw the temperature of the refrigeration systems where the fresh produce was stored soar (apparently up to 15 degrees), an anomaly that caused several damages.

The Postal Police are investigating the incident and will determine whether it is related to other hacker attacks, both in Europe and Italy, which have "attacked" supermarket refrigerated counters and, more generally, the cold storage system for food, raising thermostat settings and impacting food preservation.
