Sulcis, flooding at its limit after the rains: Bau Pressiu and Monte Pranu are discharging water into the sea.

Farmers in the Sulcis region are breathing a sigh of relief , as the area's reservoirs have reached capacity thanks to the heavy rains that have been characterizing these days, including in Sulcis.

This morning, the Bau Pressiu dam, in the municipality of Nuxis , began overflowing. This afternoon, the same phenomenon was also recorded at the Monte Pranu dam, in the municipality of Tratalias . Here, the reservoir receives water from Nuxis and discharges into the Rio Palmas, which then flows into the sea in the Gulf of Palmas . The waterways near the two reservoirs are under special surveillance because they could swell and create problems.

The mayors of the area have issued an ordinance imposing maximum security.
