The man who was captured on camera Saturday evening throwing rocks at the facade of the municipal building on Via Garibaldi in Olbia and then spray-painted the walls is known to law enforcement for a specific precedent. It was an identical raid to the one on the evening of September 11th , and now the conduct of the 37-year-old man from Olbia is causing concern to magistrates and law enforcement officials. The swift investigation was conducted by Olbia Local Police personnel. Shortly before 8:00 PM on Saturday, when the center of the Gallura city was teeming with people, the man arrived in front of the building on Via Garibaldi and began shooting at the target. Local Police personnel have not found any other individuals involved; the images are clear; only one individual is involved in the raid on the municipal building .

The administration led by Settimo Nizzi has established the Urban Security Operations Unit, a special unit of the local police force to strengthen controls and interventions. With the aim of "responding to the legitimate security concerns raised by citizens," according to the resolution approved yesterday by the council, the NOSU will consist of about ten officers who will monitor the neighborhoods under special surveillance, from San Simplicio to the historic center, including the waterfront, "subject to degradation and petty crime."

The unit is already working and has reported an Iraqi citizen accused of stealing a motorist's wallet near Fausto Noce Park. The person identified and reported to the prosecutors had recently been released from Bancali prison.
