Uncivilized people on the northwestern coast of Sardinia, ready to dump all sorts of waste on the sides of the road or near the beaches.
The latest landfill sites were spotted by motorists, a few meters from Ezzi Mannu beach on the Stintino coast: piles of garbage bags, old folding chairs, plastic, and glass abandoned in the bushes but still visible from the road not far from a beach resort.
Just a few weeks ago, the Municipality of Stintino, to ensure everyone's safety, prevent fires, and protect the dunes, imposed strict rules through a mayoral ordinance signed by Mayor Rita Vallebella. This is essential to prevent unauthorized parking, which blocks emergency vehicles and escape routes, and also to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
This measure is designed to ensure constant surveillance in one of the areas that, along with the access roads, are hit every summer by a massive influx of several thousand people daily.
