The list is long and growing, especially among motorists who consider the beach an extension of the road. On the Stintino coastline, a car was quietly parked on the sand in front of Saline beach, in the parking lot within the SIC area, a site of community importance and environmental protection.
Prohibition signs are ignored, and so are the rules. Protecting the area can wait if the only requirement is to get to the beach first to set up and occupy a space for an umbrella, beach chair, and towel. Cars trample on the fine, delicate sand, the very same sand that we strive to protect with environmental protection regulations.
The rude behavior didn't sit well with other beachgoers, who called for the intervention of the relevant authorities. Many, out of common sense, forgot to pack their swimsuit and sunscreen. Thus, the complaints from nature lovers are mounting.
