The Municipality of Stintino and Odv Plastic Free still together in the environmental protection campaign of the coast: they have joined forces to clean the coves of Mare di Fuori and Ovile Nuovo. In recent days, a first ecological intervention which saw the participation of numerous citizens and volunteers, all united to preserve the marine environment and combat plastic pollution.

During the day, accompanied by a strong mistral wind, a total of 150 kilos of waste were collected, including plastic, cardboard, and other non-biodegradable materials that threaten the health of coastal ecosystems. The event represented an important step forward in the awareness of the local community regarding the problems deriving from the indiscriminate use of plastic and the importance of its correct management.

Plastic Free coordinator Maria Luisa Vallebella underlines the importance of continuing to adopt responsible behaviors in daily life, reducing the use of single-use plastic and promoting correct recycling practices.

"Only through a collective commitment can we preserve the natural beauty of our beaches and seas, ensuring a healthy environment for everyone," said Mayor Rita Vallebella. The local Skippers and the Renamar offered the participants food and water and "Al Riparo dai Venti del Signor Pau" also made it possible to clean a private stretch of beach, offering support in the transport of waste.
