Starting tomorrow, completion work will begin on the Carlo Felice state road 131 between Monastir and Nuraminis to create a draining asphalt surface. This work will involve three kilometers of the carriageway towards Cagliari, between approximately km 23 and km 27.
The work involves diverting traffic flow onto the opposite two-way lane, where resurfacing has already been completed. The work will be carried out, ANAS announced, "in two work shifts, including Saturdays, to minimize the impact on traffic."
The work will be completed, weather permitting, by December 3. Also in early December, a new 1.5 km stretch will be opened to traffic between Villagreca and Serrenti (between km 31 and 32.5 km), heading towards Sassari. The work involves the final phase of the modernization of the route, which involves a 10-kilometer stretch for a total investment of approximately €65 million. The opening to traffic is expected by spring 2026.
