A traffic police car was hit by a truck a few hours ago near Muros while it was stopping to help a car with a puncture.

The car, which had sought protection from the other vehicle, was grazed by the heavy vehicle, causing serious damage to the patrol car. One officer suffered minor injuries and was taken to the emergency room at the Santissima Annunziata Hospital in Sassari. The truck driver was not charged.
