A female victory at the Start Cup Sardegna 2025. Purple Peach won the competition, which has recognized the best entrepreneurial ideas from the island for eighteen years. The team, composed of Martina Lavra and Maria Vittoria Piras of Nuoro, took the top spot on the podium with their proposal for a pH-dependent intimate cleanser that detects changes in the vaginal microbiota, promoting prevention. Their future venture received a €4,000 prize fund offered by the Banco di Sardegna and the University of Sassari.

The Purple Peach team also won the   Voucher Insight by Sardegna Ricerche,   Awarded by Sebastiano Baghino, the prize is €6,000 to continue the business idea validation process.

Second place went to Overeal, the team composed of Simone Spanu and Francesco Zerbini , who submitted immersive VR/AR/XR solutions for training, security, communication, and entertainment with modular and customizable experiences. They won the €2,000 prize offered by the University of Sassari.

Third place went to Vega , a project by Abramo Pischedda, Alberto Sassu, and Valeria Morittu, a team formed by the Uniss Kimas spin-off. They received a Special Mention in the "Climate Change" category for their adaptive LED lighting system, designed to reduce energy consumption. This system integrates innovation, technology, and resource protection and enhancement in indoor and vertical farming. This concept promotes energy efficiency and the sustainability of production processes, helping to reduce environmental impact and mitigate the effects of climate change. Their project received a €1,000 prize from the University of Sassari.
