There are 32 new Masters of Work from Sardinia, who have been awarded the merit by the President of the Republic, for the years 2020 and 2021.

This morning, at the Teatro Massimo in Cagliari, the ceremony of awarding the Stars to Merit for Labor, which had not been given during the usual events that take place on the occasion of Labor Day.

The important honor is intended to reward male and female workers who "during their career have distinguished themselves for particular merits of expertise and industriousness".

For 2020 the following were awarded: Orietta Andreatta (Cagliari), Antonello Barca (Quartu), Maria Rimedia Brai (Oristano), Sergio Cocciu (Sassari), Fedele Corona (Maracalagonis), Maria Cuccu (Sassari), Andrea De Gioannis (Sassari) , Flavio Pietro Demartis (Cagliari), Giancarlo Furcas (Serrenti), Salvatore Mannai (Sant'Antioco), Elisabetta Murredda (Monserrato), Grazia Pina Cecilia Olla (Sassari), Mariagrazia Romano (Cagliari), Paolino Gavino Schiaffino (Porto Torres), Rosa Maria Natalia Sechi (Alghero), Cecilia Trenta (Porto Torres).

For 2021 the award went to Giovanni Battista Alcione (Olbia), Alberto Antonio Mario Calvi (Sassari), Maria Antonietta Daga (Sassari), Giovanni Fracci (Giba), Antonio Garrucciu (Sorso), Angelo Lanzi (Capoterra), Antonio Lisca ( Ittiri), Ivana Madeddu (Capoterra), Angelo Melis (Selargius), Franco Melis (Selargius), Giancarlo Mario Pilia (Quartu), Maria Antonietta Piu (Bonnanaro), Marcello Porcu (Cagliari), Maria Teresa Puggiorni (Thiesi), Luigi Tanda (Sassari) and Carmelina Ullu (Cagliari).
