A 20 year obsession. It is that of a 60-year-old from a town in the Sassari hinterland sentenced yesterday, in court in Sassari, by the preliminary hearing judge Sergio De Luca to one year and 4 months for persecutory acts, threats and resistance to a public official.

At the beginning of 2000, the man began to torment a 73-year-old from the Turritan capital with continuous visits and phone calls to her workplace . After a long pause, the conduct resumed in 2022 with the man who, every day, showed up at the business where the woman carried out her profession, delivering unwanted gifts, asking the employees about her, calling her on the phone and, finally , threatening her through the woman's son.

«You are a family of s....», this is the sentence, « your mother has to pay and will pay ». And again to his son, on another occasion, he said: " Watch your back, I have nothing to lose, you have small children ."

Even going so far as to threaten him with a syringe when, for the umpteenth time, he tried to enter the shop: "Be careful, watch your back." Later identified by law enforcement officers, he had tried to resist by hitting them with elbows . The victim and her son joined the civil action, represented respectively by the lawyer Stefano Mandras and the lawyer Stefano Porcu, while the 60-year-old, currently detained, was defended by Gabriela Pinna Nossai. The accusation was instead supported by prosecutor Angelo Beccu.
