The sporting and personal story of the goalkeeper from San Gavino, who rose from the Medio Campidano village to the pinnacle of football with over 100 Serie A appearances for Cagliari, Torino, and Verona, and a historic feat: Copparoni was the first Italian goalkeeper to save a penalty from Diego Armando Maradona while wearing the Torino jersey.
The book co-authored by Mario Fadda and Umberto Oppus is dedicated to him. It will be presented next Friday at 7 pm in Soleminis in the garden of Casa Corda Spada. Mario Fadda will be present at the event, part of the "Dialoghi d'autore" literary festival, and he will be in conversation with librarian Mena Maffei.
The director of the rossoblù museum, Simone Gallus, is expected to attend.
