A new space dedicated to prevention, rehabilitation, and support for women following breast surgery has opened in Sassari's Piazza Colonnello Serra. This is the headquarters of Dragon Rosa, which takes its name from the project dedicated to women's rehabilitation and well-being through dragon boating. This sport, practiced in large group canoes called "dragons," was purchased with funding from the Sardinia Region. Over the years, dragon boating has established itself as an effective post-mastectomy rehabilitation tool thanks to its physical, motor, and psychological benefits. This activity promotes movement, coordination, and functional recovery, as well as team spirit, trust, and mutual support among participants.
The facility hosts clinics and specialists engaged in a multidisciplinary approach that aims to support patients not only clinically, but also psychologically and relationally, through activities that promote well-being, sharing, and quality of life.

Regional Councilor Valdo Di Nolfo commented, "Dragon Rosa is a shining example of how sport can become a concrete tool for rehabilitation, well-being, and sharing. It's an organization capable of bringing together medical expertise, physical activity, solidarity, and human support, accompanying many women on a delicate journey of recovery and return to daily life." The regional councilor also reiterated his support for the association's activities and thanked President Susy Puggioni, Paola Bardino, the volunteers, the medical specialists, and everyone involved in the project.
