The bodies of an 86-year-old woman and her 59-year-old son were discovered late this morning in a home in Maracalagonis, in the Cagliari area.

The 118 doctors and the Carabinieri of the Quartu Sant'Elena company intervened on site.

From what we understand, no signs of violence were found on the bodies of the mother and son. The Carabinieri, during an initial inspection, found no evidence of assault. There were no signs of intrusion or forced entry. The most likely hypothesis at this time is that of natural death.

Apparently, the 59-year-old man felt unwell and was unable to call for help. His mother, finding him lifeless, also reportedly felt ill. Now the coroner will arrive to make initial determinations on the possible causes of death.
