Michela Rubiu, the owner of the "Cafè 1950" bar in Solanas, was wounded by a single gunshot to the back of the head on that dramatic July 23rd at the entrance to the bar. This is what had essentially been said right away.

This was established by the autopsy report performed this afternoon by coroner Roberto Demontis, on behalf of the Deputy Public Prosecutor, following the bartender's death last Monday at Brotzu, where she had never regained consciousness.

The woman was shot by her husband, Alessandro Pintus, 39, who is now charged with femicide and the murder of his brother Andrea, 42. He is also charged with attempted murder, with the Prosecutor's Office accusing him of attempting to run over one of the witnesses present at the entrance to Michela Rubiu's bar with his car.

Michela Rubiu's funeral will take place on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the parish church of Solanas. Immediately following the religious service, her body will be taken to Sinnai for burial in the new "Baccu Narboni" cemetery. Mayor Barbara Pusceddu has declared Saturday a day of mourning. Meanwhile, technical tests are ongoing on the cell phones seized by the Carabinieri on July 23rd during the first phase of the investigation. The public prosecutor, Dr. Giangiacomo Pilia, has entrusted Andrea Cappai, a computer forensic engineer, with tests that could prove useful in identifying the motive for the incident.
