Vandals were active in Sorso, where three ambulances and a vehicle for the disabled were damaged at the Sorso Emergenze association headquarters. Specifically, tires were slashed and windows were broken.
The Carabinieri are investigating the incident. "We've received threats." Giulia Dau , president of Omnibus ODV, which manages the transport and emergency service between Ittiri and Sorso, commented on the damage to three ambulances and a Doblò, dedicated to disabled people, last night in the courtyard of Sorso Emergenze.
"They slashed 15 tires, destroyed the windshield, rear, and side windows." Thousands of euros in damage occurred between 3 and 6 a.m. at the service location.
"Before all this happened," he says, "I received phone calls threatening the business." A complaint has already been filed regarding this matter, in addition to the one filed today with the Carabinieri. "We won the tender for the management, which was confirmed just yesterday by the Regional Administrative Court of Sardinia, which rejected an appeal."
A total of eight vehicles were parked in the lot, which is owned by the city. "There are cameras on site," Dau emphasizes. The Carabinieri may be able to take the footage to identify the perpetrators.
