Nuoro Police Headquarters celebrating the 170th anniversary of the Foundation of the State Police.

On this occasion, a detailed report of the activity carried out from April 2021 to these first months of 2022 was presented.

Under the magnifying glass the work of agents linked to the pandemic emergency, the numbers of murders and attempted murders that after years of calm have returned to rise, drug crimes, robberies and damage. The activity of the immigration office affected by the arrival of refugees, of which 190 have applied for presence and 67 have applied for temporary protection, has been significant since the beginning of the war in Ukraine.

The numbers are worrying about the bloodiest episodes of violence: there were 6 intentional intentional murders and 5 attempted murders recorded in the reference period. To these are added 17 robberies, 39 extortion incidents, 72 cases of damage related to fires, 4 bomb attacks, 167 drug offenses and 958 scams and computer fraud.

On the pandemic front, 7366 patrols were used plus another 5538 of the Traffic Police, 321 administrative penalties were raised and 380 people reported. Also relevant are the seizures in the field of narcotics: the mobile squad, with the 7 detached police stations and with the men of the Traffic Police, seized 3 tons of cannabinoids and investigated 34 people, including 12 minors. In addition to the work on the Ukrainian refugee front, the Immigration Office issued 1100 residence permits, there was also the expulsion of 15 foreigners with accompaniment to the border and 233 by order of the Quaestor. 177 foreign citizens of different nationalities passed through the Macomer detention center for repatriation, 21 of whom were repatriated and 121 expelled from the national territory. During the reference period, numerous initiatives were also undertaken aimed at combating and preventing gender-based violence.
