Concern is growing for the fate of Siria Piscedda, the sixteen-year-old from Cagliari who has been missing since 1:00 PM yesterday, after leaving school.

The alarm was raised by the family members, who filed a formal complaint with the Carabinieri of the San Bartolomeo station and the police headquarters in the capital.

"We're desperate," her mother says on the phone as she travels to Oristano, where it's believed the girl may have arrived with her ex-boyfriend: he, too, is unavailable. In addition to the lack of news—Syria's phone has been turned off since yesterday—the family is worried about recent events that are worsening the situation.

At the time of her disappearance, the sixteen-year-old was wearing a black fur jacket, black trousers, and black and white Adidas shoes.
