Sometimes luck comes without knocking. It happened today at the tobacco shop Rivendita n. 17 on Via Giardini 27, where a young woman showed up at the counter with a SuperEnalotto ticket and a routine request: to play the same combination again, as many do out of habit or superstition.

“She had just come to play it again, as we always do,” says owner Stefania Salis. “I inserted the betting slip into the terminal and found myself faced with an amount I wasn't expecting: over 22,000 euros. For a moment, we both remained silent.”

The coupon that was about to be simply re-offered was in fact already a winner: 22,324 euros.

"The girl couldn't believe it," Salis continues. "She turned white, and for a few moments I was afraid she might be sick from the emotion. Then she burst into joy, and we all got a little emotional in here."

It's not the first time Lady Luck has chosen this corner of Sinnai. "In the past, we even had a €500,000 win on a scratch card," recalls the owner. "And then there are many wins of €1,000, €2,000, sometimes even over €10,000, which we don't publicize because they're small to medium-sized. They happen more often than you might think."

The hope now is that this isn't an isolated case: "We hope this is just another of many wonderful wins, and that there will be even more in the future. We extend our best wishes to our lucky young lady: may she enjoy this surprise to the fullest. Heartfelt congratulations."
