A macabre hypothesis emerges in the investigation of Eraldo Serra, 78, who disappeared from Sinnai for about a month: the man may have been mauled by his own dogs.

The carabinieri of the Quartu Sant'Elena Company investigate the matter, contacted by some acquaintances worried about the fate of the elderly man they had not seen for days.

The soldiers reached the old man's home, in the countryside of the country, and after having knocked in vain several times they asked for the help of the firefighters to enter. Once inside they found seven large guard dogs and shreds of the 78-year-old's clothes and documents on the floor. On the other hand, there is no trace of the body.

From what has been learned, the door of the house was closed from the inside and no traces of break-ins were found.

As mentioned, further investigations are underway and one of the hypotheses is that the elderly, heart patient, had an illness and that his dogs then wreaked havoc on his body.
