For half a century he ran his boutique on Via Roma in Sinnai . At almost seventy years of age, Beppe Tronci has decided to close. "That's enough, I'll become a farmer. I have a few pieces of land: it's a choice I make freely because I've always liked the countryside." Beppe Tronci decided to close his business on December 31. "In 50 years it has had so many satisfactions . For years my shop was among the ones that sold the most jeans in the province. A great passion: a job that has given me so much satisfaction. But you get to a point where you have to say enough and, if possible, do something else: a farmer."
Beppe Tronci opened his “Box pop” in 1974 at Via Roma 129 with the company registered to my brother Paolo and another friend. The idea was mine. Since 1978, I have done it alone. In 1983 I moved to the current location at number 288, still on Via Roma, creating the “Liberty boutique”. Many satisfactions with men's, women's and children's clothing. An important boutique in the area. I also did very popular fashion shows. When I stopped with the children's department, I donated what was left to earthquake-stricken families. When the company budget allowed me to, it also promoted cultural initiatives and Jazz and blues events».
Then signs of crisis, already in the mid-nineties. «The closure of the old Town Hall, the lack of parking and finally the big market, have left their mark. What do you say to today's young people? «Look for other roads, starting to discover the fields, agriculture».
