Francesca Gina Brau, the woman arrested yesterday by the Carabinieri after a violent incident in a house on Via Libertà in Siniscola, is accused of attempted murder.

According to the reconstruction by public prosecutor Selene Desole, the woman – who lives in the same house as the victim's brother – attacked Giansalvo Fronteddu, 59, when he returned home, around 10:30 in the morning.

The man, the owner of the house, noticed the broken living room window and asked for an explanation .

Brau's response: "I'm in charge at home." Then, suddenly, she allegedly grabbed a 30-centimeter-long kitchen knife and, with both hands, attempted to stab him violently in the right shoulder, near the heart.

The attack continued with further blows aimed at the right side of the head, while he shouted: "I'll kill you!" Fronteddu managed to free himself and escape, managing to call 118 and the Carabinieri.

The man was injured, but his life is not in danger. Francesca Gina Brau is currently under house arrest. She is represented by lawyer Martina Cocco and will appear tomorrow before preliminary investigations judge Alessandra Ponti for a validation hearing. The victim is represented by lawyer Giuseppe Casu. The investigation is being coordinated by the Nuoro Public Prosecutor's Office.
